About the role
A large paper and forest products company in Vancouver is hiring for this role. You will own the preparation of the consolidated financial statements and the monthly and quarterly reports, and oversee intercompany accounting and consolidation with the mills. The role also supports public financial disclosures and the audit and controls cycle.
What you'll do
- Prepare the consolidated financial statements and the monthly and quarterly reports.
- Oversee intercompany accounting and consolidation with the mills.
- Support public financial disclosures.
- Carry out SOX testing and work with external auditors during audits.
- Contribute to initiatives that improve reporting, controls and efficiency.
What you bring
- Hands-on experience preparing consolidated financial statements and period-end reports.
- Working knowledge of intercompany accounting and consolidation.
- Familiarity with SOX testing and external audit support.
- Exposure to public company financial disclosures.
- A practical approach to improving reporting processes and controls.
